I like that one. I just don’t have any belief or faith in a god or higher power. My faith rests with the people I know, live and trust rather than some space wizard! I see the benefits some people get from having a personal or communal faith. It just makes no sense to me I guess.

Just a heads up, not all religious people believe in the space wizard, beard-in-the-sky god children are often taught about. Something lacking from many discussions of the topic.

We’ve been to my fav car brand dealership today to look for a new car since mine is 15 years old. I own it for almost 15 years myself, bought it new on my 40th birthday.
So we went to the dealership and the car I want are the regular hybrid one for €42K or the high performance petrol one for €60K. I want the latter, but I don’t “need” it. So I am in some sort of inner struggle. In Europe it may just al well be the last possibility I have to buy a petrol high performance car of my fav brand. They’re pushing EV’s down our troats like hard cocks, here in Western Europe.
The struggle is real!
I think the next car we’re getting is an AMC Eagle. Mr. Firefly has been wanting one for ages and I am inclined to indulge him.

Mr Firefly has unique taste in vintage automobiles! A friend owned a purple AMC Gremlin with a design you either hated or loved.
I grew up in the age of the American muscle cars. I was hitchhiking (believe it or not it was relatively safe back then) and a guy in his twenties gave me and my friend a ride in his 1969 Chevelle SS with a 454 cubic inch engine. That’s my dream car.

I know which design you’re talking about with the Gremlin and I think I’d have to see it in person and sit in one to make up my mind.
The 69 Cheville is a gorgeous car! And there is nothing like feeling a vintage muscle car engine revving beneath your feet! Absolutely nothing! To have gotten a ride in one like that must have been fun!
I know that. I was trying and failing miserably to be humorous! I have friends who are spiritual yet also atheists. We have discussed things but I don’t even have a spiritual bone in my body!
Anybody else awake when they’re rather be sleeping? I am! And I don’t think sleep is going to grace me anytime soon. 
Mildly upset stomach, geriatric cat I need to put down if she doesn’t die first (and hoping she dies first so I don’t have to take her in), approximately 957 things on my to-do list… Then like 3 crazy weekends in a row coming up… I should be excited, but I’m actually just exhausted.

CBD oil before bed can help. If you’re in the states, I can recommend a quality vendor. It has a calming effect that can improve sleep. The best form of CBD is a tincture you hold under your tongue sublingually for fastest effect. We swear by it.

Here’s the vendor and actual product we use. Not cheap but good sleep is priceless. The tincture is broad spectrum which means it has a very small amount of THC believed to contribute to the entourage effect of all the components of cannabis. Not enough to make you “high”, but enough to potentially show up in drug tests.
CBD is also incredibly effective at treating inflammation. It truly is a miracle compound the ancients recognized as a medicine. Mrs Colt doesn’t enjoy smoking or injesting cannabis products but I’ve been a nighttime user for many years… my formative years were the late 60’s and 70’s. Sex, drugs, and rock and roll! No fentanyl, penicillin could cure every STD, and the music was awesome.
Smoking the plant or consuming THC infused gummies helps me sleep. Mrs Colt doesn’t enjoy getting high but the CBD helps both of us sleep. Let me know if it works for you.

Thanks! I’ll let you know if I try it. I tend to be a bit reactive to things, so I’m interested, but I’m also hesitant… Especially at $120/bottle.

Because CBD is treated like supplements in the U.S., it is very loosely regulated. You’ll find much less expensive CBD, but if they don’t list the concentration (2,500 mg for this product) on the bottle, it’s likely you’ll get a much weaker concentration. I use about 10-12 drops under my tongue so a bottle can last 2 - 3 months.
I’m very anal (pun intended) about everything I buy. If you don’t believe it, read my posts about stainless butt plugs! It’s best to be anal about things that go in your anal canal. Hope you get a good nights sleep.

Yeah, like it does look like it’s good stuff, but honestly weaker might be better for me. I might look to see if they have a less concentrated version.
Be sure to check for other effects CBD has on your organism, there are some rarely talked about. For some people, that is a deal breaker.
