Got a little bit of an odd question - what might make anal sex feel kind of gritty? As Mr. Firefly and I were having fun yesterday, I kept getting distracted by a gritty feeling as he went in and out. (And yes, we were using lube. A coconut oil based one and I have no allergies to coconut.) Noticed it with other “normal activities” too. No pain, no blood, no other discernable irregularities, just a mild sensation of grittiness.
Sometimes, I don’t know why, some small particles of the coconut oil I’m using take longer to melt, or don’t seem to melt at all. Perhaps it was an accumulation of, well, not quite molten parts of the oil?
You could check the container and let some melt on your hand, then rub the oil on your skin, and see if the same kind of gritty effect happens.
In the past, I have encountered the same thing with coconut oil. If aNewFriolity’s suggested test reveals problems with the product, we now use and I can recommend Nutiva Virgin Coconut Oil (cold pressed and unrefined). It can occasionally have a slightly gritty feeling for a minute or two, but not longer than that. We get it from Amazon – it is low priced compared to some other “cold pressed and unrefined brands”.
I did a lot of reading about coconut oil before we switched to using it and – for us – the “cold pressed and unrefined” was an important.
She’s never described feeling gritty but we don’t use coconut oil. Once she became totally comfortable with anal, a little saliva is all that’s needed to penetrate her ass. Too much lube and we both lose some of the sensation. It’s a much better feel for both of us without lube.
Legit, I salute you two for being able to get away with just that! I’m a loooong way from that, I think. I like it, but I still have to make him go slow and lube liberally or else I feel rubbed and chaffed.
And I think y’all are right about the coconut oil. I’m just glad it’s that not anything else.
We use nothing or coconut oil and I never felt that grittyness. Anal always feels deliciously smooth to my cock. The main reason why it’s to adictive to do.
We use coconut oil exclusively and love it. There are two types: fractionated and the rest. Solids in fractionated oil are removed so it always in liquid form and that is the one we use and it’s easy to put in an eye drop bottle or other small containers. The others are solid under 75 degrees Fahrenheit and are still very nice and only takes a moment to melt. It is also thicker and more luxurious and perhaps there is something in there which could have caused your issue, but it never has for us.
